Circulation

This was the best shot I could take. I work at the circulation desk in Hedberg Library where I check in and out books, movies, music, laptops, media equipment, etc. I also search for missing books and movies and pick up books laying around the library. I tend to go down this aisle quite a bit, and I wanted to include as many books as possible. This is a pretty effective picture; if it didn't have my name tag, I'm not sure people would fully understand the significance.

Cheese Head Sports

This is a photo of me in the Carthage Wave Radio Station. Every Wednesday at 4pm, I have a one hour sport show called Cheese Head Sports, where I discuss Wisconsin's Pro Sports Teams, amongst other subjects. Broadcasting is my dream; I want to be sportscaster someday. I wish more people could listen to this show, yet they have more important things to worry about, not to mention that the station only streams on campus and nowhere else. Even though there are disadvantages, I still love to do my show no matter what.

There's nothing much to the station. I tried to incorporate everything possible to show what it's like. There's the soundboard, headphones, and my microphone.

Golf Caps

Although I'm not the greatest golfer in the world, I'm proud that I play the game. To show this, I always wear a golf cap wherever I go. Yes, Titleist is my favorite golf brand. The colors of red, black, navy blue, and sky blue are not my favorite colors, but they complement the polos and pants that I wear while on the golf course. I take clothing pretty seriously when I play the game. After all, you have to look good.

This looks like a catalog for Titleist hats. I just had to say that...

Proud of being a Waiter

This was a tough photo to take. This is me at the House of Gerhard, a fantastic German Restaurant, putting the finishing touches on the resetting of the dining room. I'm currently a waiter, and wanted to show something waiter-related, but I did not want to take a photo while costumers were still in the restaurant; that would look rather awkward. This picture shows my hard work as the night comes to an end.

I've worked here for three and a half years; if I didn't like what I do, I wouldn't be there. It's a great place with great workers and great owners. They're like a second family to me. In my opinion, serving is something everyone should take up at some point in their lives. It teaches you responsibility, common sense, dealing with people of all personalities, and learning how to accept success, mistakes, and even failure.

Ramen Noodles

Take a good look at this image. Remind you of anything? Think Andy Warhol...This is probably my best example of intertexuality. Like college students all over the world, all of them have had Ramen Noodles at one point or another. I had to portray this picture like Andy Warhol's painting of the Campbell Soup can.

I could definitely live off of ramen noodles for a long time...

I'm a Bonehead

I'm such a bonehead (literally). Yes, on the top of my head is an actual cow bone, and I'm wearing a sleeveless t-shirt. I would never do something like this, but I tend to do stupid things or say dumb stuff. I have a 3.92 GPA at Carthage, yet I don't always show it. It's hard to describe my bone headedness; the more you know me, the more you'll understand. This is a prime quality that I'm not really proud of, but I always laugh about it. That's why I have to smile in this picture.

Poker God

For anyone who's a beginner at poker, they will be immediately addicted. I found myself in this situation. I was so hooked with this game that I almost considered playing professionally. Now that I think about it, that seems pretty stupid, and I'm not a big risk taker when comes to a lot of money on the table.

I will say though that I'm a very good poker player. Playing for over 6 years, I'm specialized in games like Omaha, 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud, and Texas Hold 'em. I prefer to play for money, but not too much. Recently, I played with a few of my very good friends and took them to the cleaners. I won $7!!! For some reason, this is one game that I never forget how to play. Like golf, it's something I can play for the rest of my life.

Proud to be an Elephant

This picture is very self-explanatory (if you understand politics). The Elephant is the symbol/mascot/logo of the Republican Party. Obviously, the American flag shows my love for this country.

Although I disagree with the liberal agenda in Washington, I still support the President. This country is politically divided, and I wish this wasn't the case. I'm worried about my party because I'm afraid they're not going to get things turned around if they regain control of the House and Senate. I can only hope that they can set a good example for this country and accomplish things that all Americans want to see completed.

They'll win...someday

Ever since the Brewers lost the 1982 World Series, they have never found their way back. If I were a Yankee fan, I would probably get sick of winning tthe World Series after awhile. The Brewers are a team that gives hope for many that their time will come to win. I have been with them when they made the playoffs two years ago, and when they had 100 losses ten years ago. Like the Packers, I'm loyal to the Brewers.

I have a couple of great piece of clothing, along with two bobblehead dolls of Prince Fielder, the Brewers first baseman and slugger. The little bobblehead is Ned Yost, former Brewer Manager who slowly resurrected this team, but failed to finish the job. I guess he signifies hope, but also stupidity (if you're a Brewer fan, you what I'm talking about). There are also two baseball cards - one of Ben Sheets and the other Geoff Jenkins. Both players have experienced the highs and lows while playing for this team; they're recognized as Brewers for life, although they play for different teams now. All of these items sit on a baseball bean bag of mine. Yep, I love baseball.

Golf and Tiger

I considered taking this picture outside, but I was afraid my putting green was going to be ruined, so ignore the background of our basement. There's a lot going on this photo. I am obsessed with golf. I had just hit the ball, and now it's ready to fall in the hole. I'm wearing red to signify that I'm a Carthage student, and also to imitate Tiger Woods.

Red is one of his most lucky colors, and his fist pump is a classic gesture. I did my best to reenact Tiger celebrating. Although I believe what Tiger did to his wife and kids was awful and disgusting, he is still one of my favorite golfers. It's a treat to watch this man play. When he's not playing, golf fans are itching for his return.

When I'm not watching it, I'm playing it. I took up the game five years ago. Considered to be one of the most frustrating sports, golf is a sport that can be played for the rest of your life. I recommend everyone to try it at some point in their lives.

Packer Fan Always

I am a die hard Packer fan. Although I was born in Illinois, Packer pride has been flowing in my veins since birth. I first got into the Packers during their Super Bowl run in 1996. Even though I was 6 years old at the time, I still remember some of the biggest plays in that Super Bowl. I realized I was a true Packer fan after they had won it all.

These are some of my most important Packer possessions. Behind my items is a large Packer blanket laying over my bed. I tried my best to include everything possible in the shot. I did forget one other thing though. A couple days after taking this picture, my parents won an autographed football signed by this year's Packer football team. That really tops my collection. No matter how good or bad they are, I will never betray them. I have a strong allegiance to my football team. In my opinion, you're not an American unless you have a favorite football team.

Movie Connoisseur

As you can see, I love to watch movies. From "The Trouble with Angels" to "The Hills Have Eyes", I love all extremes. These are not the only movies I like, but these films give a background of all the different types that I enjoy. Action, Comedy, and Drama are my favorite genres. I love the recent movies; I love classics; I love movies that are older than my parents!

Hopefully, people can relate to these movies; I assume that most people have seen these films. All of them are quite iconic in there own way. It's sad that there are many who don't watch anything. Movies provide every form of entertainment with every moral issue. We can always learn something from a movie no matter how funny, serious, or stupid it may be. I also love to quote movie lines and incorporate them in life and with others who relate to the quote. That's how I feel about films and why I enjoy them so much.
